2018 Topps Series 2 Checklist

1. Bryce Harper - Washington Nationals:

Bryce Harper is a five-time All-Star, who plays right field and bats left-handed for the Washington Nationals. He was drafted by the Nationals with the first overall pick of the 2010 MLB Draft and made his major league debut in April 2012. In 2015, he won the NL MVP Award and has since become one of the most feared batters in the majors.

2. Ty Cobb - Detroit Tigers:

Regarded as one of the greatest players in baseball history, Ty Cobb was a legendary outfielder for the Detroit Tigers from 1905 to 1928. He led both leagues 12 times in batting average and holds records in hitting and stolen bases. His career batting average is still an MLB record at .366, while his total hits (4,189) and runs scored (2,244) rank second all-time.

3. Reggie Jackson - New York Yankees:

Reggie Jackson played 21 seasons in Major League Baseball for five teams – most notably with the Oakland A’s and New York Yankees. During his career, he helped lead the Yankees to four World Series championships and was the MVP of two of them. He is a 14-time All-Star and holds several records in the postseason.

4. Chris Taylor - Los Angeles Dodgers:

Chris Taylor is an outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers who has become known for being one of the most versatile players in baseball today. In 2017, he was named to his first All-Star team as well as winning a Gold Glove Award for his outstanding defense at shortstop and centerfield.

5. Addison Russell - Chicago Cubs:

Addison Russell is an infielder for the Chicago Cubs who is considered one of the best young players in baseball today. He played a key role in helping the Cubs win the 2016 World Series, and also received All-Star honors that same year.

6. Yadier Molina - St. Louis Cardinals:

Yadier Molina is an eight-time All-Star catcher who has made a name for himself as one of the greatest defensive catchers of all time. His skill behind the plate helped lead the St. Louis Cardinals to two World Series championships in 2006 and 2011.

7. Corey Seager - Los Angeles Dodgers:

Corey Seager is an infielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers who was named NL Rookie of The Year in 2016 and is on his way to becoming one of baseball’s best young players. He already has a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger award to his name, and is considered one of the best shortstops in the game today.

8. Kurt Suzuki - Atlanta Braves:

Kurt Suzuki is an All-Star catcher for the Atlanta Braves. He has been one of baseball's most consistent catchers over the last few seasons, and is a key contributor to the Braves' success in 2019. He also brings valuable veteran leadership to the team, as he has been in MLB since 2007.

9. Roberto Clemente - Pittsburgh Pirates:

Roberto Clemente was a legendary outfielder known as “The Great One” who played 18 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was regarded as one of baseball’s best hitters and defenders, and his humanitarian work off the field made him an icon in the game. He won the NL MVP in 1966 and has since been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

10. Nicholas Castellanos - Detroit Tigers:

Nicholas Castellanos is an outfielder for the Detroit Tigers who has become known for his power-hitting prowess at the plate. In 2018, he led the American League in doubles with 59 and is considered one of the top power hitters in all of baseball.

11. Cal Ripken Jr - Baltimore Orioles:

Cal Ripken Jr is a former shortstop and third baseman for the Baltimore Orioles who is considered one of the best players in baseball history. He was a 19-time All-Star, two-time AL MVP, and was named to the MLB All-Century Team in 1999. His streak of 2,632 consecutive games played has been credited with helping revive baseball’s popularity during the mid-'90s.

12. Noah Syndergaard - New York Mets:

Noah Syndergaard is a pitcher for the New York Mets who has become known as one of baseball’s best young starters. In 2015, he made his major league debut and quickly established himself as an ace on the mound. He was named to his first All-Star team in 2016 and continues to be a dominant force on the mound today.

13. Tom Seaver - New York Mets:

Tom Seaver is a former pitcher for the New York Mets and is widely regarded as one of the greatest pitchers in MLB history. He was a 12-time All-Star, three-time Cy Young Award winner, and five-time NL ERA champion. He helped lead the Mets to the 1969 World Series championship and his 323 career wins rank him 11th all time among pitchers.

14. Lucas Giolito - Chicago White Sox:

Lucas Giolito is a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox who is considered one of the best young pitchers in baseball. He was named to his first All-Star team in 2019 and posted an impressive 3.41 ERA over 32 starts that season. His blazing fastball and sharp-breaking pitches have been credited with helping him become one of the most dominant starters in the game today.

15. Andrew Benintendi - Boston Red Sox:

Andrew Benintendi is an outfielder for the Boston Red Sox who has become known for his all-around talents at the plate and in the field. He was named to his first All-Star team in 2018, won a Gold Glove Award that same year, and has been regarded as one of the best young players in baseball. His strong offensive skills and solid defense have made him a key contributor to the Red Sox lineup since he debuted in 2016.
