1. Greetings:
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players can greet the islanders by waving or simply saying hello. When an islander is greeted, they will often respond with a smile or wave and will sometimes offer a gift or money as a gesture of friendship. The reaction that they give to being greeted can vary from character to character.
2. Agreement:
When players are trying to complete a task or ask an islander for help, they may agree with what the player is saying if they like it. This reaction can be seen when an islander is asked to join the player's campground or give them a DIY recipe. The agreement reaction usually consists of a nod and smile from the character.
3. Disagreement:
Sometimes, characters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons may disagree with what players are asking them to do or how they want things to be done. This reaction will often involve the NPC shaking their head, frowning, or otherwise expressing displeasure towards the situation.
4. Pleased:
Players can often please the islanders in Animal Crossing: New Horizons by fulfilling their requests or helping them out. When this happens, the character will usually show a pleased reaction by smiling and thanking the player for their assistance.
5. Happiness:
In some cases, characters may be so happy with what the player has done that they may start to dance or jump for joy. This kind of reaction is usually a sign that players have gone above and beyond to make an NPC happy and should be rewarded appropriately.
6. Joy:
When an islander is really thrilled about something that has happened, they may express joy through exaggerated reactions such as arm flailing or even singing! This kind of reaction is usually reserved for special occasions or when players have done something truly remarkable.
7. Glee:
Some islanders may express glee when they are really excited about something that has happened. This kind of reaction can involve squealing, clapping, and even jumping in the air with excitement.
8. Laughter:
When an islander finds something funny or amusing, they may start to laugh uncontrollably. This kind of reaction is usually contagious and will often cause other characters to join in on the laughter as well.
9. Love:
Players who do something particularly special for an islander may be rewarded with a loving reaction from them such as a hug or kiss on the cheek. These kinds of reactions are usually rare, but can be extremely rewarding when they do happen.
10. Showmanship:
Some islanders may put on a show for the player in order to express how much they appreciate what has been done for them. This kind of reaction often involves singing and/or dancing and is not only entertaining for the player, but also helps to build relationships with the characters.
