1. Lights and Signals

Check the brakes for wear or damage as well as fluid levels for hydraulic systems. Ensure that the brakes can stop the forklift at the designated distance.
3. Tires
Inspect the tires for proper inflation and wear and tear. Replace any worn or damaged tires if needed.
4. Steering
Test the steering system to ensure it is working smoothly and all moving parts are in good condition with no visible damage or oil leaks.
5. Lift
Check the lift mechanism for any damage to make sure it is functioning properly and safely.
6. Load Capacity
Make sure the load capacity of the forklift is appropriate for the job at hand and that no loads exceed this rating.
7. Leaks
Visually inspect the engine, fuel, and hydraulic systems for any signs of leaking fluids.
8. Maintenance Records
Review the maintenance records to ensure that all recommended services and repairs have been performed as needed.
