1. Chronic Fatigue
Feeling tired, no matter how much sleep you get, for a prolonged period (at least 6 months) is one of the most common symptoms of CFS and FM.
2. Inability to Concentrate
Difficulty concentrating or focusing on tasks can also be present with both CFS and FM.
3. Muscle/Joint Aches and Pains
Unrelenting aches and pains in muscles and joints are often a sign of these conditions.
4. Sleep Disorders
Trouble getting proper restful sleep is often an issue associated with CFS and FM.
5. Headaches
Many individuals experience frequent headaches or migraines when they have either condition.
6. Sensitivity to Light/Noise/Smells
People with CFS and FM may find that they are more sensitive to light, noise, and smells than usual.
7. Cognitive Dysfunction
Memory loss, difficulty thinking clearly, or a “foggy” brain can often be experienced with these conditions.
8. Unexplained Fever/Chills
Some individuals experience low-grade fever or chills without an obvious cause when they have either CFS or FM.
