1. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
This is the first animated feature-length movie from Disney, and it was released in 1937. The movie is about a princess named Snow White who is forced to flee her home when her stepmother tries to have her killed. She ends up finding refuge with seven dwarfs in a hidden cottage in the forest.
2. Pinocchio
This movie was released in 1940 and it’s based on the classic story of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. The movie follows the puppet Pinocchio as he tries to become a real boy.
3. Fantasia
Released in 1940, Fantasia is an experimental movie that uses animation and classical music to tell different stories.
4. Dumbo
This 1941 movie is about a baby elephant with big ears who is mocked because of his appearance. But Dumbo learns to use his ears to fly after he’s given some magical water by a group of crows.
5. Bambi
This 1942 movie is about a deer named Bambi who grows up in the forest and learns about the dangers of the world outside of the forest from his friends, Thumper and Flower.
6. Sleeping Beauty
Released in 1959, this movie is based on the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty by Charles Perrault. The story follows Aurora, a princess who is cursed by an evil fairy and falls into a deep sleep that can only be broken by true love’s kiss.
7. The Three Caballeros
Released in 1945, this movie is a sequel to 1944’s The Three Little Pigs. It follows Donald Duck as he accompanies his friend José Carioca (a parrot) to Brazil for the Carnaval celebration. They meet up with Panchito Pistoles (a rooster), and together they have an adventure that includes singing, dancing, and comedy sketches.
8. Cinderella
This 1950 movie is based on the fairy tale Cinderella by Charles Perrault, and it follows the story of a young woman who is forced to do all the hard work for her cruel stepmother and stepsisters but is able to go to the ball after she gets help from her Fairy Godmother.
9. Alice in Wonderland
Released in 1951, this movie is based on Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland book series. It tells the story of Alice as she falls down a rabbit hole and into a fantastical world where she has some very strange adventures.
10. Peter Pan
This 1953 movie is based on the play Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, and it follows the story of the boy who never grows up, Peter Pan, as he takes Wendy Darling and her brothers on a magical journey to Neverland.
