1. Clothing:
Pack clothes for a 4-day trip that are lightweight, wrinkle-resistant and versatile enough to be used for multiple occasions. Pack at least two pairs of shoes - one pair of sneakers or comfortable walking shoes and one dressier pair. Bring a mix of tops, pants, skirts, dresses, and accessories that can be easily layered in case of changing weather.
2. Toiletries:
Pack the basics such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, body wash and soap, shaving items, deodorant, contact lens solution/glasses if needed. Make sure to bring along sunscreen if traveling during warmer months. Additionally pack any medications or vitamins that you regularly use.
3. Documents:
Pack important documents such as your driver’s license/passport and any other forms of identification that may be required for travel. Additionally include boarding passes, health insurance cards (if applicable), itineraries or reservations for accommodations/activities planned during the trip, and car rental information (if renting).
4. Electronics and chargers:
Bring along any electronics such as a laptop, phone, tablet or camera you plan to use on the trip. Don’t forget to pack the necessary cords/chargers for these items as well. Additionally, bring a converter if traveling internationally so your devices can be used with foreign outlets.
5. Medicines or first aid kit:
Pack all necessary medicines that are needed while away from home and consider bringing along a small first aid kit in case of minor scrapes or cuts during travel. Include items such as band-aids, antibacterial ointment, gauze pads, over-the-counter pain relievers etc.
6. Credit cards, Cash, Traveler’s Checks:
Bring at least one or two credit cards and some cash in the local currency of your destination. Additionally, consider bringing along some traveler’s checks for added security if traveling internationally.
7. Snacks/ Food Items:
Pack snacks such as protein bars, trail mix, dried fruits etc to help keep you energized throughout your trip. Pack any special food items that may not be easily available while away from home such as gluten-free snacks or vegan foods.
8. Umbrella/ Raincoat/ Poncho:
If there is a possibility of rain during your 4 day trip, pack an umbrella or raincoat to stay dry and comfortable! A poncho can be an even better option as it can also provide warmth if it becomes cool outside.
9. Reusable water bottle (to stay hydrated on the go!):
Don’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle with you so that you can refill it throughout your trip and remain hydrated.
10. Extra phone charger or power bank:
Bring along an extra phone charger or portable power bank in case of emergencies or low battery situations during travel. This will ensure you always have access to communication, navigation, maps and other important information while traveling.
