1. Connor McDavid
One of the most prolific players in the NHL. He was drafted first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers and has since then become one of the premier players in the league. In his four seasons in the NHL, he has been named an all-star twice and won both the Art Ross and the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2017.
2. Auston Matthews
The first overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, he spent his rookie season with the Toronto Maple Leafs and quickly established himself as one of the premier players in the league. In his three seasons in the NHL, he has been named an all-star twice, was a finalist for both the Calder Trophy and Hart Memorial Trophy, and led the league in goals scored during the 2018–19 season.
3. William Nylander
A Swedish-born forward who was selected eighth overall by Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Nylander is currently playing on a line with Matthews and John Tavares for Toronto. In four seasons with the Leafs, he has been named an all-star once and was a finalist for the Calder Trophy in 2017.
4. Dylan Larkin Rookie
The first-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Larkin became the first player from his draft class to make it to the NHL in 2016–17. He made an immediate impact with Detroit and has since become one of their top players. In four seasons with Detroit, he has been named an all-star twice and was also a finalist for both the Calder Trophy and Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 2018–19.
5. Max Domi Rookie
The 12th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Domi has become one of the most dynamic players in the league. After spending his first three seasons with Arizona Coyotes, he was traded to Montreal in 2018–19 and quickly established himself as a leader on the team. In four seasons in the NHL, he has been named an all-star once and was also a finalist for both the Calder Trophy and Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 2016–17.
6. Oskar Lindblom
A fifth-round pick by Philadelphia Flyers in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Lindblom has become one of their most reliable forwards over the last few seasons. He is known for his strong two-way play which earned him a spot on Sweden’s World Cup team in 2018. In three seasons with the Flyers, he has been named an all-star once and was a finalist for the Calder Trophy in 2017–18.
7. Carter Hart
The 48th overall pick by Philadelphia Flyers in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Hart is quickly becoming one of the most promising goaltenders in the league. After spending his first two professional seasons developing with their AHL affiliate and representing Canada at World Juniors, he made his NHL debut during the 2018–19 season where he posted impressive numbers and won the 2019 Rookie of the Year award.
8. Taylor Hall
One of the top players when healthy, Hall was selected first overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and went on to win the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2018. After spending his first eight seasons with Edmonton, he was traded to New Jersey Devils in the 2019–20 season and has been one of their top players ever since. In nine NHL seasons, Hall has been named an all-star four times and also won two Lady Byng trophies.
9. Kyle Palmieri
A first-round pick by Anaheim Ducks in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Palmieri is currently playing on a line with Hall and Nico Hischier for the Devils. He made his NHL debut during the 2010–11 season and quickly established himself as one of the premier power forwards in the league. In nine seasons with both Anaheim and New Jersey, he has been named an all-star once and was also a finalist for the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 2018–19.
10. Leon Draisaitl
Drafted third overall by Edmonton Oilers in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Draisaitl is currently playing on a line with Hall and Connor McDavid for Edmonton.
