1. Preliminary cockpit inspection.
A thorough pre-flight inspection should be conducted before each flight. This includes checking fuel levels and gauges, the navigation system, the communications system, all of the switches and knobs in the cockpit, and all other necessary systems in order to ensure that everything is working properly.
2. Preflight.
Before the engines are switched on, check the cabin for passengers and cargo and make sure that the aircraft is ready for takeoff.
3. Before start.
Check flaps, fuel tank switches and ensure that all of the systems are in the correct position for takeoff.
4. Engine start.
Carefully follow the engine start procedure in order to get all four engines running safely. Make sure not to exceed any limits or speeds during this process.
5. After engine start.
Check all of your systems and instruments to ensure that everything is working correctly before departing from the airport.
6. Taxi.
As you taxi through the airport, stay aware of your surroundings, maintain a safe speed, and communicate with air traffic control when necessary.
7. Before takeoff.
Run through a checklist of pre-takeoff procedures such as system checks, speed and altimeter settings, navigation instructions, fuel management, etc.
8. After takeoff.
As soon as you are airborne, set the aircraft up for cruise. This includes configuring the autopilot to maintain a steady altitude and heading.
9. Cruise.
During this phase of flight it is important to monitor your instruments regularly, make sure that all systems are running properly, and be prepared to take manual control at any time if necessary.
10. Descent.
When approaching your destination airport it is important to begin the descent process safely by following the correct procedures. Maintain communication with air traffic control and adjust speed and altitude accordingly.
11. Landing.
Perform all necessary landing procedures and checklists to ensure a safe landing.
12. After landing.
Once you have landed, follow the checklist for post-landing procedures such as shut down of all systems, securing of the aircraft, etc.
13. Shutdown.
Turn off all systems in the cockpit and make sure that everything is secure before leaving the plane. Make sure that there are no passengers or cargo left on board.
14. Secure.
Secure the aircraft and make sure that all doors and hatches are locked before leaving. This will help to prevent any potential theft or vandalism.
