1. Proof of Identification:
To apply for a Real ID, you will need to bring an original or certified copy of your primary form of identification. This can include a valid driver's license, U.S. passport, permanent resident card, or foreign passport with an I-94 form and visa. Your ID must have your full name, birthdate, signature, and a recent photo.
2. Social Security Card:
You must provide your social security card or other documents that prove your social security number. The number must be verified with the Social Security Administration (SSA).
3. Proof of Residence:
You will need to bring proof of residency in California such as two documents from different sources that show your name and address. These can include utility bills, mortgage/lease agreements, bank statements, credit card statements, etc.

If any of the documents required for getting a Real ID are not in English, they must be accompanied by an official English translation.
10. A Valid Fingerprint Card:
To obtain a Real ID card, applicants must submit two valid fingerprint cards to the CA DMV. These cards can be acquired from any law enforcement agency or at some CA DMV offices for a fee.
11. A Completed Medical Evaluation Form:
Applicants with certain medical conditions may need to submit a completed medical evaluation form. This form can be found at any CA DMV office or online.
12. Any Additional Documentation Requested by the CA DMV:
The CA DMV may require additional documents in order to verify your identity and/or eligibility for a Real ID card. It is important to bring all necessary documents when applying for a Real ID, as failure to do so could result in delays or denial of your application.
