1. Proof of U.S. Citizenship:
This document is required to show that the sponsor is a U.S. citizen to be eligible to file Form I-130 on behalf of their daughter.
2. Proof of Relationship:
Documentation such as a birth certificate or other official record showing the relationship between the sponsor and daughter must be supplied with the application for it to be taken into consideration.
3. Sponsor’s Financial Status:
In some cases, evidence of financial status may need to be provided to show that the financially responsible party has sufficient assets or income to support the sponsored daughter if they are admitted into the United States.
4. Petition Form I-130:
This form must be completed and submitted with the other required documents.
5. Filing Fee:
The filing fee for Form I-130 must be paid for the application to be considered by immigration services.
6. Affidavit of Support Form I-864:
This form must be completed to show that there is sufficient financial support available for the sponsored daughter if they are admitted into the U.S., as well as an agreement to reimburse any public benefits received on their behalf.
7. Supporting Documentation:
Any relevant documents that may help to prove the relationship between the sponsor and daughter, or offer more information regarding the application, should also be supplied with the petition.
8. Fingerprinting:
In some cases, the sponsored daughter may be required to submit fingerprints for their application to be considered.
