1. Regulator Gauges:
Check that all regulator gauges are working properly and accurately read pressure levels.
Inspect hoses for any signs of damage, such as cracks, fraying or wear marks, and replace them if necessary.
Verify that valves open and close easily, without sticking or leaking, and check for any signs of corrosion on valve components.
Make sure that connections between the main supply hose and the torch are secure and not loose.
5. Ignition Sources:
Ensure there is no ignition source near the oxy-acetylene setup to prevent accidental sparks from causing a fire or explosion.
6. Gas Supply:
Check the gas supply to make sure that it is full, and that there are no leaks or blockages in the tubing.
Wear appropriate clothing when operating an oxy-acetylene setup, including safety glasses and gloves.
Store all components of the oxy-acetylene setup in a secure, dry location away from any ignition sources.
